The most multicultural city in the world (with half of population born overseas), Toronto is the most populous city of Canada. If you plan to visit Toronto, I recommend using Porter Airlines (they serve their complimentary beverages in actual glassware!) and landing at Billy Bishop YTZ Airport (rated one of the most scenic airports in the world – check out this pic!). Once at YTZ, mainland Toronto is a quick 5-min ferry ride.
Two things that we truly enjoyed in Toronto was the Food and the Architecture. If you have 24 hours in Toronto, fear not and follow the below to get the most out of the city:
P.S.: The below post relies heavily on walking from one location to another since it is the best way for us to soak in what a city has to offer. However, if you are not much on walking, Toronto also has a great transit system called as the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) which provides subway, streetcar, and bus service. Most downtown routes have very frequent service and some run 24 hours.
All in all a great 24 hours in Toronto. We will definitely be visiting this city again since there is so much more to see! Since we have only been there during summer, I am biased to say Summer was the best time to visit! But we will definitely be checking it out again around Fall.
